  1. I don't have an emergency, but I need to speak to a police officer, do I still call 9-1-1?

1. Q. I don't have an Emergency, but I need to speak to a police officer, do I still call 9-1-1?

A. - Yes, In Delaware County, 9-1-1 is the only number you need to remember.
Use 9-1-1 for both Emergency and Non-Emergency situations.

2. Q. - If I want to report an in progress call, should I call the police station?

A. - No. Even though the Parkside Police provides 24 hour coverage for the Borough, they may not always be in the Police Station. You should call 9-1-1 if you require a Police response.

3. Q. - If I have information about a crime that took place (Not in-Progress), or information about criminal activity, such as drug activity, or any other information that the Police may be interested in. What should I do?

A. - You can go to the Anonymous Tip area which is located on our Home page. There you can leave the information about the crime, or activity. It is more helpful if you leave your contact information, but you can remain anonymous.

4. Q. - I received a traffic citation, now what do I do?
A. - You have Ten days to comply with the citation, by either making a plea of guilty and paying the fine at the District Court listed at the top of the citation, or requesting a hearing at the same District Court. If you fail to comply with the Citation, your license may be suspended and a warrant may be issued for your arrest.

5. Q. My vehicle was impounded (towed), now what do I do?

A. - You need to come to the Parkside Police station, at 22 East Elbon RD, Parkside, PA 19015 and pick up a release form.

  • If your vehicle was towed due to being illegally on the roadway, you must show proof that your vehicle is current with all laws applying, such as having insurance, and properly being registered.
  • If your vehicle was towed because there were no licensed drivers in the vehicle, you must bring a licensed driver with you when picking up the release.
  • If your vehicle was towed because you were arrested, you only need to pick up the release form.
  • If your vehicle was towed because it became disabled, you only need to pick up the release form.
All Towing Costs are at your expense, and are not controlled by the Police Department.
The tow company sets the tow and storage fee.

7. Q. How do I pay a parking ticket?
You can bring the parking ticket to the police station with your payment.

8. Q. How can I get a copy of a police report?
A. - You can come to the Police Station and request a copy of the report.

All Requests for reports must be approved by the Chief of Police.

  • Incident Reports - $15.00 (free for borough residents)
  • Accident Reports - $15.00 (free for borough residents)
  • Any Domestic Related Reports require a Subpoena.
